In Q2 2024, the Idle RPG category on Android saw varied performance across top titles in the US. Insights from Sensor Tower provide a closer look at the trends among these games.
Nobody's Adventure Chop-Chop by 37GAMES GLOBAL, after its release in late 2023, started the quarter with a spike in downloads, reaching 8K in the first week of April. However, downloads sharply declined thereafter, halting by May. Revenue peaked at $185K in the third week of April but saw a general downtrend, ending at $34K in the final week of June. Weekly active users (WAUs) reflected a strong start with 9.6K in mid-April, stabilizing around 2K from late May to the end of June.
Joy Nice Games' Legend of Mushroom showed an initial 4.9K downloads in April, which then dwindled to zero by mid-May. Revenue fluctuated, with a high of $86K in early May, dropping to zero by mid-June. WAUs saw a slight increase from 4K to 4.4K in the first two weeks of April, but gradually decreased to 2.2K by the quarter's end.
The Legend of Slime: Idle RPG War from AppQuantum experienced modest revenue early in the quarter, with $37K in the second week of April, but it didn't sustain, falling to zero by May. Downloads followed a similar pattern, with a high of 1.2K in the first week of April, then decreasing steadily. WAUs started at 2.3K, decreasing to 674 by the end of June.
GEAR2's Slayer Legend: Idle RPG had a revenue peak of $30K in early May but dropped to zero towards the end of June. Downloads showed a late surge, with 690 in the last week of June, contrasting with earlier weeks. WAUs peaked at 2.6K in the last week of June, a significant increase from the start of the quarter.
Lastly, Stone Story RPG by Martian Rex, despite having no recorded revenue, saw downloads peak at 809 in the last week of June, after a relatively flat performance throughout the quarter. WAUs mirrored this trend, with a notable jump to 1K in the final week.
